Todd P. Fitzsimmons
Todd was recently asked to take over as Director of Training of the Security Guard Institute after 29 years of law enforcement experience. Todd is a graduate of Buffalo State College with a Bachelors of Science degree in criminal justice. He retired with the rank of Lieutenant and held many positions during his career; ranging from training, advanced tactics and police supervision. Todd was fortunate to attend many local, state and federal training programs. Some of the certifications Todd holds are DCJS general topics instructor, field training officer, Rochester Police Dept. Basic and Advanced Emotionally Disturbed Response Team course graduate and Dept. of Homeland Security Advanced Active Shooter training.
Todd has taken over the schools security guard training program and is a New York State certified security guard course instructor. Todd has also developed several other training modules that are current with the important topics of our world. These courses are Situational Awareness/ Emotional Disturbed Person Response techniques, Workplace Violence Awareness and Active Shooter Awareness. Todd is committed to providing the highest level of instruction in the courses he has developed and takes great pride in providing interesting and interactive training.
